Removable RNA probes extend the life of blots New microscope Ambion's newly released Strip-EZTM RNA probe kits incorporate new technology (patent pending) that allows the synthesis of an RNA probe Custom-made oligonucleotides Oswel offers standard and modified oligonucleotides, ranging in size from PCR primers to several hundred bases. These modified oligonucleotides include RNA and 2'-O-methyl RNA. :lOd DNA incorporating inosine, deoxyuridine, nitropyrrole, 5-methyleytosine, iodo-, bromoand propyne -cytidine and -uridine, or abasic sites. Labelled oligonucleotides incorporating FAt\I, HEX, TEl', TAi\IRA, ROX, cy3. cyS, BODIPY•, Texas red• and Dansyl• visualisable residues (•under licence from 1\101ecular Probes Inc.) arc also available, as are oligonucleotides with spacers bctwccn reporter groups to increase the efficiency of non-radioactive detcction. Free technical support is offered, and custom oligos can be made on request. Oswcl also now offers (under licence from PerSeptive Biosysrcms Ltd) peptide nucleic-acid analogues, in either unmodified form or with biotin or fluorescent labels.
