β¦ Synopsis
A new method is described to evaluate the topical action of drugs on the gastric mucosa of laboratory animals. Of distinct advantage is the ability to assess the effects of more than one drug simultaneously on adjacent mucosal areas. The method also has proven to be of value in studying the effects of such variables as duration of exposure, pH, and pepsin.
