✦ Synopsis
The excitation function up to 30 MeV was remeasured by the activation method for the production of 186 Re via the 186 W(p,n) reaction. The available experimental data were analyzed, corrected and compared with the calculated results of the ALICE-IPPE, GNASH and EMPIRE theoretical model codes. The experimental data set has still to be improved before reliable recommended values for optimization of batch production can be proposed.

Excitation functions were measured by the stacked-foil technique for (p, xn) reactions up to EP = 20 MeV on natural tellurium and enriched '23Te. Thick target vields were calculated for the formation of '\*'I, "'I, iz41, '261, "'1 and "'1 from natural tellurium, andYZ21-and iz31 from enriched iz3Te.
