Searching for properties

Materials property data assembled by Purdue University are now available in searchable electronic databases from CINDAS LLC. Researchers and engineers can use the data to perform comparative analysis of different materials, optimize their selection, and ensure compatibility. Properties data, initially published in a series of hardback volumes as Thermophysical Properties of Matter -the TRPC Data Series, are available as the TPMD database. A second product, the Microelectronics Packaging Materials Database or MPMD, is also available. Access to the data can be purchased or leased and is provided either on a CD-ROM or as a web-based service. The databases are automatically updated with additional information.
