The reaction of 4-amino-6-methyl-1,2,4-triazine-3(2H)-thione-5-one (AMTTO, 1) with palladium(II) chloride in acetonitrile/methanol leads to the N,S-coordinated complex [Pd(g 2 -AMTTO-N,S)Cl 2 ] ´CH 3 OH (2). 2 has been characterized by IR and MS techniques. The ligand 1 and the complex 2 were also i

✦ Synopsis
The new compound C 10 H 6 P(S)[NSi(CH 3 ) 3 ] 2 P(S) (3) which contains a P 2 N 2 heterocycle has been prepared in low yield by partial thermal decomposition of 1
3 )SP(S) 2 ] ± (2). Reaction of 2 with potassium hydroxide in acetonitrile gives the completely desilylated product 4). The structures of the new compounds 3 and 4 were elucidated by FTIR and NMR spectroscopy methods and by X-ray structure analyses.
