✦ Synopsis


New measurements on the specific heat of liquid helium in the .region below 0.7°K indicate that the previous data of Kramers, Wasscher and Gorter were actually somew, hat too large in t.he phonon region. The discrepancy which existed with the phonon specific heat as calculated from the velocity of sound has now 'been removed.
