A phytochemical study of the roots of Tinospora capillipes resulted in the characterization of two new highly unsaturated diterpenoids, tinocapilactones A and B (1 and 2), as well as of six known ones. The structures of 1 and 2 were assigned on the basis of extensive 1Dโ€ and 2Dโ€NMR experiments, combined with massโ€spectrometric methods.
