Two new cytotoxic diterpenoids, plumarellide (1) and the ethyl ester of plumarellic acid (2), were isolated from the alcoholic extract of the gorgonian coral Plumarella sp. and their structures were established by NMR, EIMS, MALDI TOF MS, IR and UV spectroscopy.
