✦ Synopsis

Abstract

In this paper, a new CAD model is proposed to calculate accurate resonant frequencies of inverted microstrip circular patch antennas having a wide range of parameters. This model incorporates all the effects of various dimensions and dielectrics used. Computed results for the first few modes are compared with some new measurements. Β© 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A formula for the resonance frequencies of circular microstrip patch antennas for 30 TM~nm~ modes is developed by the curve‐fitting technique from computed data of existing theory. The formula is found to be within about Β± 1.3% error of the theoretical results. For this formula, it is n

In this article, an efficient application of a genetic algorithm (GA) in an artificial neural network (ANN) to calculate the resonant frequency of a coaxially-fed tunable rectangular microstrip-patch antenna is presented. For a normal feed-forward back-propagation algorithm, with a compromise betwee
