Dr. Dudley writes, "We tested the test bar and found 78,5oo tensile strength with fifteen per cent. elongation in two inches, and four and one-half p.er cent', in eight inches. This high tensile strength can only be obtained when the metal is manipulated. Such high results could hardly be expected with the cast metal.
