This is a spin off duet for Kalli from The Never Series. This book can be read without reading any previous Never books. The book is part of a duet, so the final conclusion will come at the end of book 2.

I've spent my life avoiding attachments. I learned early on, from the person who should have loved me most, I only drag others down. So instead, I made it my goal to live in a way that never affected anyone else. I don't build friendships. I don't start relationships.
