✦ Synopsis

A powder neutron study of the low-temperature phases in LiKSO4 confirms the transition scheme P63----~ P31c--* Cc (/3 =90 °) in the range 300-180K proposed earlier from a twinned crystal neutron study and rules out the scheme P63----~ P63mc---~ P63 proposed by a recent X-ray study. It also shows that monoclinic Cc symmetry persists down to 100 K with/3 changing to 89 ° .
