✦ Synopsis
Lepton number and lepton flavor violation processes occur naturally in many extensions of the Standard Model.
No evidence for such processes has been found so far. Recent searches for lepton number violating r decays are reviewed within the context of the theoretical predictions.

We have searched for lepton flavor violating decays of the 7 lepton with at least one Kg meson in the final state. The data used in the search were collected with the CLEO II and I1.V detectors at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR) and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 13.9 fb-' at the
The lepton flavour violating decay τ → μμμ is predicted in many extensions of the Standard Model with branching ratios partially next to the current experimental upper limit of 3.2 × 10 -8 . Therefore, lepton flavour violating τ decays are an interessant option in search of new physics.
