The basics of neutrino oscillations is discussed. The importance of the time-energy uncertainty relation is stressed. Neutrino oscillations in the leading approximation and evidence for neutrino oscillations are briefly summarized.

โฆ Synopsis
I review the status of neutrino masses and mixings in the fight of the solar and atmospheric neutrino data. The result from the LSND experiment and the possible role of neutrinos as hot dark matter are also included. I also discuss the simplest schemes proposed to reconcile these data which include a fight sterile neutrino in addition to the three standard ones. Implications for future experiments are commented.

We study a model for the mass matrices of the leptons, based on texture zero elements. We are able to relate the mass eigenvalues of the charged leptons and of the neutrinos to the mixing angles, and can predict the masses of the neutrinos. We find a normal hierarchythe masses are 0.005 eV, 0.01 eV
We review the current status (as of the end of 2008) of neutrino mass and mixing determinations, focusing on the hints of ฮธ13 > 0, recently emerged in our global analysis.
