drugs. I cannot comment on the other therapeutic areas, but if they are also covered in such a super®cial fashion I feel that many readers will be misled.

Clearly these four expensive volumes are aimed primarily at the pharmaceutical chemist rather than the pharmacologist or clinician. I can only hope that the other specialist sections are more up to date with their information than the section on `neuropharmaceuticals', a term which is certainly new to me.
