## Abstract Caveolae are cholesterolβrich, membrane microdomains that appear critical to signaling between extracellular and intracellular macromolecules as well as cholesterol homeostasis. Caveolae formation is modulated by caveolin, a protein family that is the proteinaceous hallmark of caveolae.

Nerve growth factor (NGF) initiates its biological effects by promoting the dimerization and activation of the tyrosine kinase receptor TrkA. The requirements for NGF signaling through the TrkA receptor have been defined extensively from studies in immortalized cells, involving transfection of NIH 3
## Abstract Activation of NMDA receptors (NMDAR) in the hippocampus is essential for the formation of contextual and trace memory. However, the role of individual NMDAR subunits in the molecular mechanisms contributing to these memory processes is not known. Here we demonstrate, using intrahippocam
## Abstract Previous studies have shown that estrogens, originating from ovaries, have a wide variety of estrogen receptor (ER)βmediated effects in the hippocampus. In the present study, we have investigated whether estrogens, which are synthesized in the hippocampus, could induce these effects as
