## Abstract The neuroendocrine marker neuron‐specific enolase (NSE) has been reported to be detectable by immunohistochemistry in paraffin sections of neuroendocrine neoplasms of the lung. There is no study of immunodetection of NSE in cytological smear preparations from these tumours. We have exam
