โฆ Synopsis
Network of the lahotosphere.--Lamey having asserted that he had observed the photospheric network on the solar disk with a six inch telescope, Janssen states that he must have mistaken the willow leaves or rice grains for the phenomenon in question. The photospheric network is made up of the collection of points where the solar granulation is modified, in arch minute details that they can be seen only by large instruments with powerful eye-glasses. Under these circumstances the field of view is so limited that it is impossible to, embrace a sufficient extent of surihce to show the network. It becomes visible only upon very large instantaneous photographs.
