โœฆ Synopsis

Mr. Morris has done a great job of taking network management concepts and burrowing down into the details of how it all actually works. He lifts the haze of confusion that often surrounds MIBs and their implementation in NMS applications, and then ties in one of the hot new network technologies, MPLS, so that one can see how network management actually works with this and other IP-based protocols. Good job!

I must admit that I was quite perplexed by this book. MPLS is not my strongest area of study - this book did not help my advancement of knowledge. This is not a book to read from cover-to-cover, but best read as the requirements arise. I think the author was particularly biased towards 'pro-Cisco'.
