β¦ Synopsis
The CEBus (Consumer Electronic Bus) has been proposed by the Electronics Industries Association (EIA) as a standard for home automation systems. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a network layer that adheres to the standards and at the same time versatile and expandable. The basic primitives and characteristics of the network layer as well as its interface with the other layers are presented, followed by a presentation of the software and hardware components of the design.

An integer programming method was devised to locate detection monitoring wells in layered aquifers. The method is applicable to aquifers with nonuniform groundwater flow, and it does not require that a compliance boundary be linear or perpendicular to the direction(s) of groundwater flow. The main goal of evolutionary computation is to provide a near optimal technique between exploration and exploitation of a search space. This approach is based on a genetic ''engine'' that operates the search of the optimal solution via biological-based assumptions. Selection of the optimal maintena
