✦ Synopsis

Systematic numerical studies of the non-linear operation of Nd:YAG microdisk laser are presented. An approximate formula is relating small signal gain to the output power and the characteristic parameters of the structure, taking into account gain saturation effect. Output power characteristics revealing a saturation effect are discussed. Presented formulas and characteristics can be used for designing the optimal structure providing maximum output power.
