The concepts of Optimum Behavior and Optimum Decision are still the nuts of most of the researches and teachings related to economics and management sciences as well as to social and political affairs. The Paradigm of the optimization of the expected utility is now easily understood as a "natural application" of the "Principle of Least Action .... which was adumbrated by Pappus, which guided Physics, was generalized (after Fermat) by Lagrange, inspired Hamilton and Maxwell, and reappears in the latest developments of wave-Theory and Decision 27 (1989) 107-116.
