✦ Synopsis

On Materials Research held in DDU Gorakhpur University, (UP) India. Tremendous progress has been made in the area of crystal growth in the past century. From the discovery of constitutional supercooling concept of science by Bruce Chalmers and his co-workers to technology concept of liquid encapsulated crystal growth by Brian Mullin (UK) and R.Mazelsky (USA), and applications in developing new products are classic examples of developments. With increasing performance requirements of devices and systems, materials and bulk and thin films of very complex materials are needed. We have reached to the stage where data on the synthesis of high purity complex source materials, thermal electrical and optical properties are needed to grow fabricate and utilize single crystals for commercial and industrial applications.
