โœฆ Synopsis


D.C. for three 13-week periods each year. The program is designed to provide the Fellows opportunity to observe and participate in policy development, grant-making procedures and administration. In addition to working as members of the Endowment staff, Fellows attend a series of seminars and meetings with the National Council on the Arts, Endowment panelists, artists, ]ournalists, federal officials and leading arts administrators. Fellows with research background, who are serving as faculty members or are advanced graduate students, are usually assigned to work in the Research Division, although they have also been assigned to work in one of the programs. Fellows whose disciplines are in the policy research related fields of economics, political science, sociology, etc., are expected to have some significant arts background such as: prior research related to the arts, experience working on behalf of arts organizations, or extensive personal training and expertise in some aspect of the arts.

Fellowship amounts consist of a stipend of $3,300 and round-trip travel expenses covering airfare to Washington, D.C.
