We have studied experimentally spectral characteristics of a multi-mode vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser that is subject to optical feedback. Appropriate alignment of the feedback mirror can suppress higher-order modes and significantly decrease the spectral linewidth of the laser.
## Abstract The molecular beam epitaxy growth conditions of a GaInAsSb/AlGaAsSb multi‐quantum wells stack have been successfully optimised. This included minimising the full‐width at half‐maximum of the high resolution X‐ray diffraction satellites and maximising the photoluminescence peak intensity
