## Abstract We present a technique to grow carbon nanotubes by chemical vapour deposition of cyclohexane from separately generated catalytic iron nanoparticles. The catalyst particles are synthesized via inert‐gas condensation using DC‐sputtering at pressures in the mbar range. The preparation tech
