โฆ Synopsis
Electron field emission properties of diamond films synthesized by microwave CVD were examined. B-doping or B / N-co-doping markedly improves electron field emission properties of diamond films. Electron 2 field emission current density increases from (J ) 5 200 mA / cm for B3N0 diamond films, which were e B3N0 2 doped with 3 sccm B(OCH ) to (J ) 5 1750 mA / cm for B3N3 diamond films, which were co-doped with 3 3 e B3N3 3 sccm B(OCH ) and 3 sccm (NH ) CO. When diamond films were coated with a thin layer of Fe / Co film and 3 3 3 2 then post-annealed at high enough temperature, electron field emission current density was increased from 20 2 2
mA/cm to 700 mA / cm .
