β¦ Synopsis
AF3smAm. 'Ihe mnstitution of four new alkaloids (1-i) isolated fron a R&i Sea sponge, Leucetta chaqosensis Dendy, has been established by spectral methods. The ccmpounds are substituted 2-amino imidazoles and substituted imidazolyl 2,4-dioxo-imidazolidinyl amines. 1 A recent review on marine alkaloids exhibits the diversity of the group and includes many unique structures e fron terrestrial sources. Cur interest in bioactive marine natural products brought us in the last years across an increasing number of nitrogen containing secondary metabolites. Lately, we examined a small bright yellow sponge of the class Calcismngiae, Leucettachaqosensis Dendy, -I-collected near Na'ama in the Gulf of Eilat, andwenow

## Abstract As compounds from a calcareous sponge, __Leucetta__ sp., of the Coral Sea, we isolated a series of novel naamidineβtype alkaloids, 6β10, which are oxidized at a single benzylic position. We also report on the first marine, mixedβligand metal complex 5 and on the first natural metal comp
