A series of substituted 2iminopyrrolidines is prepared and evaluated as selective inhibitors of the human inducible isoform of nitric oxide synthase (NOS). The most potent analogue is (VI). The compound (+)-(VIII) is also a good inhibitor of human inducible NOS and potent in vivo in mouse models of
