✦ Synopsis
In the title molecule, C 11 H 9 NO, all bond lengths and angles are normal. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO and C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds andstacking interactions.

In the title compound, C 19 H 17 NO, the -conjugated system formed by the phenol-imine tautomer is essentially planar. An intramolecular O-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bond is formed between the phenol OH group and the Schiff base N atom. The crystal packing is stabilized by van der Waals forces.
The molecular structure of (I), showing 50% probability displacement ellipsoids and the atom-numbering scheme.
