✦ Synopsis
The study of matrix-isolated (CI-&SnCl, (CH&!jnBr and (CH&SnI reveals a tetrahedral molecular structure similar to the corresponding phenyl molecules. The results confirm that in the crystallime state of these compounds the tin atom is tive-coordinated while in the matrix-isolated state the coordination number is four.
