✦ Synopsis

57Fe-MSssbauer emission spectra of 57Co-labelled [Co(NH&] 2(C204)3-4H,O and [Co&&] ,(C,O,),-9H,O show an increased yield of 57Fe(Il) species. The stabilization of ferrous 57Fe species is attributed to the consequences of an autoradiolytic process involving oxdate anions in the se&d coordination sphere.
