Fe~ ,Zn, alloys (0 < x < 0.8) were produced by simultaneous cathodic pulverization of iron and zinc. Metastablc crystalline phases were obtained: an a phase supersaturated with zinc, and a new ~¢ phase which can be indexed in an f.c.c, lattice and which presents two variants, 1¢~ with low zinc conte
