✦ Synopsis

Phthalocyanineiron(I1)

(FePc) was synthesized in FeY zeolite supercage with acid sites. Miissbauer spectroscopy was employed to determine the yield of FePc(py), produced by contact of FePc with pyridine in it. Although the supercage had enough space to form FePc(py),, the yield was very low. This indicates that pyridine molecule preferably binds to the acid site rather than to the FePc molecules in the supercage with the acid sites. The reactivity of FePc in the zeolite supercage may be controlled by the preparation procedure chosen, which influences the number of acid sites. The degree of aggregation of FePc also affects the formation of FePc(py),.

A series of bis(polypyrazolylborato)iron(II) complexes (with Tp 3CF3 , Tp 4Me , Tp 4Br , and pzTp 4Me ) has been prepared and characterised by 57 Fe Mo ¨ssbauer spectroscopy. In addition, the Tp 3CF3 has been studied and compared with Tp 3CH3 by X-ray absorption investigation. The X-ray crystal stru
