From Cyndi: I knew I wanted to bring the Shadow Assassins to Earth; I just wasn't sure how to do it. Then Lor started whispering in my ear. At first, I pictured him as an advocate for the frustrated Shadow Assassins. Then the story began to take shape in my mind and it was obvious he was hunting the hunters. This book has a more contemporary feel than many of my other books. It's definitely a steamy romance, and even though it's set in Las Vegas, it's generously shaded with sci-fi and fantasy themes.
