β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
A semi professional marathon runner at risk for Huntington's disease (HD) (43 CAG repeats) developed signs of a slowly progressive myopathy with exerciseβinduced muscle fatigue, pain, elevated creatine kinase level, and worsening of his running performance many years before first signs of chorea were detected. Muscle biopsy displayed a mild myopathy with mitochondrial pathology including a complex IV deficiency and analysis of the patient's fibroblast culture demonstrated deficits in mitochondrial function. Challenging skeletal muscle by excessive training might have disclosed myopathy in HD even years before the appearance of other neurological symptoms. Β© 2007 Movement Disorder Society

## Abstract Buerger's disease, or thromboangiitis obliterans, is a nonatherosclerotic, noninflammatory, segmentally occlusive disease of unclear etiology. We report a case of lateβonset Buerger's disease in a 57βyearβold man with erectile dysfunction, an uncommon symptom that occurred shortly after
## Abstract Subtle changes in fine motor control have been observed in individuals who carry the Huntington's disease (HD) mutation but have not yet manifested symptoms, referred to as premanifest HD (preHD). However, few studies have examined gross motor impairments in this population. This study
## Abstract This study assessed the futility of proceeding with a Phase 3 clinical trial of minocycline as a diseaseβmodifying treatment for Huntington's disease (HD). One hundred fourteen research participants with HD were randomized, 87 to minocycline (200 mg/d) and 27 to placebo. The change in T
Echocardiogram revealed diffuse hypokinesis, dilatation of left ventricular cavity, and thinning of left ventricular wall. Ejection fraction was decreased to 49%. Cardiac muscle biopsy demonstrated hypertrophied cardiomyocyte and interstitial fibrosis of left ventricle. A gastrocnemius muscle biopsy
