## Abstract Although wildlife risk assessments are generally based on the accumulation of environmental contaminants through food chains, wildlife may also ingest contaminants incidentally with sediment. Forty‐two mute swans (__Cygnus olor__) were collected from unpolluted portions of central Chesa
