✦ Synopsis

It is mid-summer in Ohio and Mae Monahan and her pony have been asked to take part in a theatre-in-the-park production. Before the musical’s run begins, there is a publicity event and rehearsals to attend. Mae and Goldie, the pony, are a big hit with the cast and crew who are excited to have a real horse in the production. After several rehearsals, the director gets the idea to have another one of Mae’s horses pull a big hay truck in the second act.

The rehearsals are almost complete when something terrible happens, throwing the theatre company into chaos.

Will Mae and her friend Ross be able to sift through the deception to find the clues that will help solve the crime before someone else gets hurt?
