## Abstract A Sagnac interferometer has been used in the ring cavity to produce a multiwavelength fiber laser. The results show that an elliptical‐core erbium‐doped fiber can produce more stable lasing lines compared to a normal erbium‐doped fiber. The principle of operation is based on polarizatio
