✦ Synopsis
Phase-sensitive and absolute-value 'H doublequantum (DQ) experiments recorded with magic angle pulsed field gradients (PFGs) result in spectra with substantial multiple solvent suppression. Although this method also results in the suppression of singlet peaks of the molecule of interest, it nevertheless represents a powerful technique for NMR analysis. The high sensitivity of the PFG DQ experiments allows their application in the NMR structural analysis of diluted samples dissolved in non-deuterated solvent mixtures. In addition to the suppression of solventsolvent D Q coherence, the use of magic angle pulsed field gradients results in the suppression of intermolecular DQ coherence between the solvent and the solute.
