โฆ Synopsis
Posttransplantation lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLDs) are well-recognized complications of prolonged immunosuppression in recipients of both solid organ and bone marrow transplants, and they occur in 2% to 10% of these patients. 1 Most PTLDs are non-Hodgkin lymphomas; therefore, a mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma has not been considered an entity manifestation of PTLD. Recently, Hsi et al. 2 reported 5 MALT lymphomas after solid organ transplantation, and they concluded that MALT lymphomas could be a rare form of PTLD. 2 However, in that series, all the MALT lymphomas originated in either the stomach or parotid gland but not in the lungs.
This report presents the first case of a patient with a pulmonary MALT lymphoma after living donor liver transplantation (LDLT).
