โœฆ Synopsis

renal artery was performed, but this failed. It was only after right nephrectomy that the blood-pressure was restored to normal. It is therefore probable that the hypertension in these patients can be reduced by restoring blood-flow to the kidneys and that treatment of the coarctation itself is not absolutely necessary.

SUMMARY

A case of coarctation of the abdominal aorta associated with neurofibromatosis is presented. There was hypertension due to renal artery involvement which was unsuccessfully treated by splenorenal artery anastomosis.
