✦ Synopsis
Films of block eopolymers of polystyrene + isoprene, cast from cyciohexane at temperatures above and below a conformational transition temperature (Tp) derived from the plot of ['/l vs. T, have been examined for glass transition temperatures. In every case, two glass transitions were found, Twl (poly/soprene) and T,2 (polystyrene) or Twl and T w (an intermediate species). Tf is assumed to be characteristic of a mixed phase thus providing further evidence that Tp marks a conformational transition from a phase-separated to a phase-mixed form.
