equations, some stationary characteristics are evaluated for different phase-shifted DFB structures in the above-threshold regime, where the corrections due to spatial hole burning must be taken into account. Results show that, while presenting smaller selectivity in the near-threshold regime, the 3PS DFB laser with s s r3 symmetrically placed with 1 3 respect to the center of the cavity, where s r2, has 2 better single-mode stability with larger output power than the single QWS DFB laser under the same normalized biasing current.
