Germans not cutting back on beauty and cleanliness
Spending on toiletries in Germany will rise 1.7% in 2009 to โฌ12.83 bn. Sales of detergents will be up 3.7% at โฌ4.03 bn. Further slight growth is expected in 2010. The industry association has not said to what extent increases in prices have contributed to the rise in sales. Big producers such as Henkel had launched many new and higherpriced products on the market in recent months.
