✦ Synopsis
With the nme-correlated smglc-photon counrrng techntque, the dynamrc behavrour of the exctted smglct state of lhe tttle compound has been mvestigated under vartous condtttons In poly(methy1 methacryiate) (PhIMA) it exhrbtts tempcraturedependent multiexponentlaldecays, mostly two evponenmls below 153 K but three at higher temperatures. The relattve fluorescence yields obtained m PhIMA from the stattc measurements drsagree ~7th fluorescence quantum yrelds celcuhted from the lifetrmcs of each component. nits drscrepancy tmphes a very fast radrattonless process from Sr to So (>lO'u C* 1 Its cxtstence could not be deduced without detatlcd mui~~xponent~ analysis.
