β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Over the past decades the complexity of financial decisions has increased rapidly, thus highlighting the importance of developing and implementing sophisticated and efficient quantitative analysis techniques for supporting and aiding financial decision making. Multiβcriteria decision aid (MCDA), an advanced field of operations research, provides financial decision makers (DMs) and analysts a wide range of methodologies, which are well suited to the complexity of financial decision problems. The aim of this paper is to provide an inβdepth presentation of the contributions of MCDA in the field of finance, focusing on the methods used and their realβworld applications. ## Abstract The paper presents methodological overview of the application of Multiple Criteria Decision Making/Aiding (MCDM/A) in public transportation. It explains why MCDM/A methodology is so important while dealing with different categories of decision problems that arise in mass transit systems
The objective of this paper is to present a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approach to support public health decision making that takes into consideration the fuzziness of the decision goals and the behavioural aspect of the decision maker. The approach is used to analyse the process of healt
## Abstract A methodology is proposed to convert ordinal ranking of a number of criteria into numerical weights. Specifically, a simple mathematical expression is developed to provide the weight for each criterion as function of its rank and the total number of criteria. The proposed methodology is
## ABSTRACT In aircraft concept selection, uncertainties, resulting from economic noise variables such as fuel price, load factor, so on always exist in the decision making process. These uncertainties are often addressed using Taguchi loss functions for robustness analysis. The study presented in
