This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Central and Eastern European Conference on Multi-Agent Systems, CEEMAS 2005, held in Budapest, Hungary in September 2005.

The 51 revised full papers and 33 revised short papers presented together with an invited paper were carefully reviewed and selected from 113 submissions.
