## Abstract Integration over triangles where the integrand contains a singularity at one of the vertices is considered in this paper. The applications for such problems arise in using the boundary element method. Low order formulae are presented and compared to previous methods where the singularit

Abstract
If three points on a circle are rotated around the circle in such a way that the lengths of two sides of the triangle they define do not change, then neither does the length of the third side. If instead of a circle we consider the unit sphere of a norm in a two‐dimensional normed space, then the above property characterizes the ellipses. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
