✦ Synopsis

In order to permit a smooth transition between the old and new editorial offices we will initiate this electronic submission and review beginning November 1, 2003. All electronic submissions will be handled by the new editorial offices in Kiel and Chicago. Manuscripts submitted online will be received on the day of submission and quickly assigned to reviewers. Through individual Author Centers on this website, authors can view the status of their manuscripts as they progress through the review process. Notification of the disposition of each manuscript will be sent by E-mail to the corresponding author on the day of decision. After November 1, authors who submit their manuscripts in hard-copy format will be contacted by the Editorial Offices and advised to resubmit electronically. Help will be available to these authors as necessary.
